Getting started all over again.

Well, this site got ignored for a few years. 5 it looks like, from the dates of things. But, a friend in the Navy, stationed in Italy, was asking about ways to teach her children how to program. So I started the video series up again.

Things have changed a bit over the last 5 years – Scratch is now web based and has a thriving community. YouTube also has quite a community and it is a lot easier to host videos over there now. So, we’re back online, making new videos, hoping you can follow along in your own web browser.

This first video talks about how to get started on the new Scratch website.

Prerequisites are a flash enabled computer and a knock knock joke. That’s it!

It covers a quick overview of their site, creating an account, and the basic development environment. Then you’ll learn about Sprites and how to get them to follow your instructions!
